Notes from Neighborhood Meeting on Notes from Neighborhood Meeting on Jul 25
Status on 7/25/22
The 23 lot subdivision of the property was approved four years ago.
This current application is for land use approval of the building architectural designs.
Westlake Consultants, Inc. is preparing the project's Development Review Application which will be submitted ... for land use approval of the proposed building design for attached residential townhomes on 23 subdivided lots.
Apparently, they already received a tree removal permit. The tree removal review was included in the subdivision application process. I believe that at this time they plan to cut down 25 trees. During the neighborhood meeting a couple of people, including myself, asked if the large tree in the northeast corner could be saved. There's a ribbon around it but after the meeting took place, I received a message saying that it was a mistake that that tree has a ribbon around it.
The development team will submit the application within the next 30-40 days.

Issues raised at the 7/25 neighborhood meeting included
Trees, wildlife, impact of traffic and parking on Upper Drive, earthquake safety of structures, etc. See meeting notes in my previous email.
Interesting points
They reduced the number of units due to neighborhood density requirements.
At a neighborhood meeting 2/15/18, it was stated that the proposed development is required to retain 20% "open space" which apparently means green space.
About 16 residents submitted letters in 2019 (Exhibits G-001 - G-214) including the Lake Grove NA (Chuck Fisher LGNA Chair). The NA's main concern was the removal of mature trees and mitigation standards.
