Tree Removal Permit Hearing Sept 6, 2022, 5:30 pm
The BNA's Urban Forest Committee would like to announce the call to action of the FAN/Forest Hills Neighborhood Association that is related to its second appeal. The appeal concerns two tree permit applications, 529 and 541 8th Street, 499-22-000160 (AP 22-03) and 499-22-000158 (AP 22-04).
The City Council Meeting on Sep 6 at 5:30 pm includes the second appeal hearing concerning the two tree permit applications above. Over 100 residents commented and signed a petition in opposition to these permits to remove 9 large trees from two adjoining lots on 8th Street. Many residents would like to see the Applicant, a developer, agree to an alternative design that would help save some of the 9 trees.
The FAN NA has asked to spread the following call to action:
1. Please join them at the September 6th Meeting. - You can join in person or via Zoom.
2. Please write comments and testify (you can do either if you commented, testified, or signed the petition before the DRC meeting). See instructions below.
3. Please share this information with neighbors and encourage others to come to the meeting!
