Library Visioning
Summarized message from the LO Library:
The Lake Oswego Public Library has embarked on a visioning process, guided by the voices of our community. The goal is to understand the community's needs, determine the Library's role in addressing challenges and opportunities, and create a shared vision for the future. The recommendation from this process will be shared with the City Council.
This is where your neighborhood comes in! Part of the visioning process is broad community input. We are trying to get as many people in the community to participate so the future of the library best represents the people it serves, versus a self-selecting group.
Through visioning, the Library wants to:
Understand the community’s needs for service and accessibility
Determine the Library’s role to address community challenges and meet emerging needs
Create a shared community vision for the future
We invite you to share your thoughts on the future of the Library and take our short 3-minute survey by visiting our public engagement platform:

In addition to the survey, we invite you to attend one of our upcoming Visioning Community Forums in March and April. Dates, times and locations are listed on the first page of the aforementioned website (scroll down to "Upcoming Envisioning Events"). No prep work is needed. Just be ready to explore the possibilities with our Library!
We hope you will participate with us in what promises to be a rich, enlightening, community-building experience, one that sets a vision for serving our greater community for future generations.
